Employment & Labor

The year 2005 was the very turning point in the history of the Labor Law in Armenia. It was when the new Labor Code was adopted and enacted, thus replacing the outdated Code stemming from the Soviet Union era. After the adoption of the new Code, it has been subjected to substantial changes and amendments. Meanwhile, our lawyers have always been reactive to those changes in order to consult our clients on any necessary changes in their practice of human resources management.

Our labor lawyers work with employers as well as with employees working at private companies and state bodies. We help our clients assess all potential risk factors upon conclusion, execution and termination of employment contracts. Our lawyers shall help you prepare employment contracts, disciplinary regulations and other internal regulations, samples of documents that are used in labor relations. We also prepare legal opinions and memoranda on labor relations, negotiate with trade unions, deliver comprehensive legal consulting for the clients to manage their business in compliance with the labor legislation, consult on labor protection norms and rights of workers.

Anyway, it is not uncommon to observe disputes between employers and their employees.  The reasons and motives underlying these disputes can be very diverse. Some of those reasons may be an employee’s unlawful dismissal from work as perceived by the very employee, refusal to provide leave, delay of a bonus or salary, compensation for material damage suffered by an employee, cases of work-related injuries, etc. The labor lawyers working at our company shall help you resolve this type of disputes without recourse to the courts, in the first place. However, if there is a need to go for litigation to resolve a dispute, we will put our efforts together to render the desired results for our clients in a short period of time.
